Kia ora
Today we started our digital fluency intensive course at St Francis of Assisi. We learnt A LOT! The day was intense we covered google drive, google docs and chrome. I was excited to learn new things and to challenge myself.
I learnt various things that will improve my confidence and workflow as a professional. For example, I learnt by adding an * or 1 at the start of a folder means it will come up first when your search your google drive.
Today we created a poster on google docs. I initially thought this would be challenging as I normally wouldn't use google docs to create a poster, normally I would use 'canva'. It was great to learn how to use docs today! I learnt how to use a table to set out our poster and then change the colour to the background to make the table disappear. Here is a screenshot of what I created today. I thought this could be good for the juniors at our school as it will help them understand the step by step process of opening a google doc in the right place. Here are some other skills I learnt:
- We also used- remove.gb which removes the background from images.
